Formation Cohort

Rooted · Renewed · Released

Formed into the likeness of Christ.

A three cycle formation journey for faith driven, high achieving people whose lives aren't built for being rooted. Not a self improvement project. The Spirit's work, with people who know what's going on in your life.

“ Spiritual formation is not a self improvement project, but the Spirit's work of transformation into the likeness of Christ. Talbot Seminary

Who this is for

Built for people the church isn't equipped to reach

This is a parachurch ministry. It never replaces the local church. It comes alongside it to fill a gap: entrepreneurs and high performers whose busy, mobile lives aren't conducive to being rooted, grounded, and spiritually covered.

High achieving

Building businesses, leading teams, earning well, and traveling constantly.

Faith driven

Serious about their walk with God and hungry to grow, not just to attend.

Under covered

Plenty of people in their corner, but no one consistently praying, listening, and speaking into their life.

The premise

You don't become like Christ by doing what Jesus did. You become like Christ by believing what Jesus believed.

“What would Jesus do?” isn't a helpful question. Ninety nine percent of the time we already know. What we lack is the wherewithal to do it. Jesus had the most accurate view of reality: no limiting beliefs, no fear, no anxiety, no idols. Adopt His worldview and you will live how He lived.

Who God the Father is

Jesus had the most accurate understanding of the character and attributes of God.

Who we are as His children

Jesus knew exactly who He was as the Son of God and what He was called to do.

How life works best

Jesus knew how life is designed to work, and lived it without distraction or insecurity.

The journey

Three 12 week cycles, one long obedience in the same direction

Each cycle carries a different emphasis. Together they move you from foundation, to surrender, to mission across one full year. Tap a cycle to see its 12 weeks.

Rooted.

Cycle 1Fall 202612 weeks

Understanding the foundations of spiritual formation and building a foundation in spiritual disciplines. Who God is, who we are in God, and how our present beliefs and behaviors were shaped by our past.

The rhythm

Built for full calendars

Light enough to keep. Weighty enough to change you.

1
weekly group call

Live teaching and community. Currently targeting Wednesday afternoons, final time set with the cohort.

2
monthly 1:1 sessions

Spiritual direction. A separate female spiritual director guides the women in the cohort.

12
weeks per cycle

Curriculum of messages, frameworks, and devotional material between calls.

~5 hrs

per week, including live calls. God does the transforming, but formation requires our participation (Philippians 2:12). No one can have a relationship with God for you. The work you do outside the calls is where the most transformation happens.

Beyond the calls

Formation happens in rooms, not just on Zoom

Annual retreat January

Step out of the noise together to rest, pray, and go deeper.

Annual conference April

A gathering that connects you to the wider community of faith driven builders.

Annual mission trip July

The capstone. High achievers serving real people with real needs.

“It's beautiful to touch grass and remind ourselves that in the midst of all the business and the money, there are genuine people with real needs.

Questions

Before you commit

I travel constantly. Can I realistically do this?

Yes. The cohort was designed for exactly that life. One weekly call, two 1:1s a month, and about five hours a week total. Calls are on Zoom, and the 1:1s are scheduled around you. What we ask is that you protect the time, not that you stay in one place.

Does this replace my church?

No. This is a parachurch ministry that comes alongside the local church. One of the goals of the cohort is to get you more rooted in a church, not less.

What happens in the 1:1 spiritual direction sessions?

Unhurried conversation with a spiritual director about where God is at work in your life, what you're wrestling with, and what's next. Women in the cohort meet with a separate female spiritual director.

Do I have to do all three cycles?

You join one cycle at a time, starting with Rooted in fall 2026. Renewed and Released follow in the next two cycles. The annual retreat, conference, and mission trip fall between them in January, April, and July.

What if I sign up and can't keep up?

Be honest early. If you invest and don't show up, you'll be refunded. The cohort only works if you actually make the most of it.
